Why Support Groups Work

Caring for someone with dementia can feel like a lonely road, but it doesn't have to be.

At Dementia Training UK, our dementia support group brings family carers together, offering a supportive and confidential environment where your experiences are valued, your questions are answered, and your burdens are shared. Being part of a group helps to lift the sense of isolation, and provides clarity, comfort and practical guidance you simply can't get alone.

Our group facilitators have “lived it” themselves, so they know exactly how it feels, this makes our peer support both independent and genuinely caring.
